Around 9 or 10 years ago, my bff Johnny Parks wrote a couple riffs that just oozed badassery. Fast forward to a year ago and an early version of SoC began putting those riffs to good use. I had had the hook in my head for nearly a decade when we began the actual structuring, so I focused on writing verses.

This song is a description of a man who's watching himself lose his ability to filter his thoughts due to always being Mr. Nice Guy and always getting screwed. He loses the ability to control himself and has to then deal with the blow back of his actions and words, while trying to maintain a balance between that "I don't give a fuck attitude" and "I'm sorry".
